Thornspell is my first novel and is published by Knopf (Random House Children's Books, USA). It won the Sir Julius Vogel Award 2009 for Best Novel: Young Adult and was a Storylines Childrens' Literature Trust Notable Book 2009.
Nice! I just sold our last copy and my customer said she will buy it on my recommendation, but if she doesnt like it or has to wait too long for the next book – shes going to come back and hit me with it… I was like but but that would hurt 🙂 (She was only joking about hitting me with it…..I hope – Runs to the Mary Victoria’s world tree to hide)
I told her that it was a brilliant book and I loved it, so I just hope the second book comes out in the first half of next year, or I may be bruised. 😀
Tarran
Tarran,
Shall I send you my aikido quarter staff to protect yourself against potential bruises?
A little more seriously, it’s not scheduled to come out until the second half of next year (I think) and that is why I am working so hard to keep it on schedule—but also make sure that Gathering is as good as Heir. And of course, in the meantime, there’s also Thornspell for those who want another Helen Lowe read … 😉
