‘All the Pretty Covers’
Since covers have been something of a theme this week I thought I’d make today’s post a feature of all my Wall of Night series covers that are offically “out there” so far—there’s still a French one to come for this year and of course Books Three and Four, but they’re still a long way off yet. (I have to write them, after all—eek!)
So here goes—we’ll start with the US first and then go the UK, and then the Netherlands and Germany (basically in order of publication):
USA
UK:
The Netherlands:
Germany: (due out later this year)
And yes, you’re quite right—I am going to have to update my website soon to accommodate all the new editions.
But for now, what do you think? Do you have a favourite? (And if so, do tell me why—I’d love to know.:) )

And Don’t Forget the Giveaway!
Remember that there’s two copies (signed of course) of the new UK mass market edition of The Heir of Night (yellow cover!) for me to give away—if you’d like one, leave a comment on yesterday’s blog post, here, or on my guest post on the Orbit website—“The Evolution of Character: Malian of Night and the Heroic Tradition”—here, before 12 midnight on Sunday 15 (NZ time.)
My favourite would have to be the US cover for the Heir of Night. I think it captures the tone of the story extremely well and almost seems to ooze an atmosphere all on its own.
Thank you for the feedback, Craig. I too love the way the US cover captures the flavour of the world and will be very interested to see if you feel ‘The Gathering of the Lost’ cover speaks to the essence of that forthcoming story in the same way.
