Here It Is: The Gemmell Morningstar Award
Yes, it’s here: the Gemmell Morningstar Award 2012–and I have to say it’s quite wonderful. As far as I can tell, it’s made of crystal—it definitely has some “weight” to it, as well as catching the light. (And besides, the box says so!)
Our (That’s HEIR & moi) Orbit editor Jenni Hill also included the Awards ceremony invitation and programme, as she put it “a little bent–nerves during the awards announcements” — but I find those are the kind of creases I can bear. π
Enjoy! (I am.)

Also useful as a +2 Mace of Light? π
Anyway, its beautiful and well deserved.
Very useful as a +2 Mace of Light, but does it ‘disrupt’ as well, that’s the question… π
But you are quite right, it is beautiful—and thank you for the “well deserved.”
Lovely!
congratulations again1
Thank you, Jan.:)
Gorgeous – and I keep looking at your book and smiling. Sometimes the right things happen to the right people and on those days all is well with the world.
Aw shucks… π But more seriously, thank you, Gillian: it’s always nice to feel am being ‘part of the solution.’
The trophy does look gorgeous. Being cyrstal it should look good with most decor, one would think.
Thanks for posting a photo of your award.
You’re welcome, June–it’s always nice to have good news to share, and in my world, good book news is the very best kind!
Its sooo pretty, congratulations again!
Thank you, Jacqui!
Heh heh Mace of Light… You’re a paladin, right? π
Undoubtedly a paladin… π
Well done Helen .. it’s a great ‘star’ for anytime of the day – not just morning huh!
Yes indeed, Heather, although it’s going to live in its padded box for now, until the risk of another major quake here in ChCh is deemed to be statistically a little lower!
Oh my, it is gorgeous, Helen. Bursting with excitement. Clever clever you! I was just thinking that my ‘bloopered’ signed copy of The Heir of Night has suddenly leapfrogged in value. I knew it was inspired keeping it…
I am still embarrassed by my own goal in respect of your signed copy—but I hope my endeavours will continue to increase its value. π Thank you, Lee.
Congrats! It was nice meeting you briefly at UnCONventional last month π
Likewise — it was a fun, relaxed weekend, I thought.:)
