Here’s Another Photo of My Cat…
Yes, Easter Monday and April Fool’s Day both falling at once seem an excellent time for that great tradition of authorial blogs—‘here’s (a/another) photo of my cat.’ 😉
This, for those who don’t know, is Iggy, Ignatz when he’s in trouble, aka known as “the Igster”—who is now in his 21st year as part of the authorial household.
For more on the tradition of writer’s blogs and photos of pets, check out my first And Here’s The Cat post. 🙂 But really, you should just blame John Scalzi.
Later today (NZ time) I’ll be posting on the Supernatural Underground, so keep your eye out for that post…
Wow! 21 years. Congrats to him. My cat Duke lived to be 21 years old too. He died over ten years ago but I still miss him.
Debbie
Thank you, Debbie–and you’re right, 21 is a great age for a cat. Iggy had a buddy who died at 15 and he is still greatly missed, too, like your Duke.
That’s a cute photo.
21 years is indeed a respectable age for a cat. (My labrador retriever died when she was 15 years old.)
15 years is a very respectable age for a labrador too.:) Not quite your part of the world, Seregil, but watched a few Wallender eps over the weekend (the English language version with Kenneth Branagh) and the inspector has a black lab — a very nice dog.
Yes, it’s a respectable age for a labrador. 🙂
Labradors are nice dogs. They’re also enthusiastic swimmers (when I went to the river with my dog, she always tried to go swimming).
I suppose the enthusiasm for swimming comes from having been bred to retrieve game: I had a springer spaniel once that was much the same.
