Fun! BookSworn & Friends Worldcon Party Poster
I particularly like the part about “Eat A bug, Get A Book.”
And yes, although I will not, alas, be in San Antonio for Lonestar Con (the 71st Worldcon!) my books will be there in style at the BookSworn & Friends party — there’s just that little matter of eating a bug… 😉
I think it’s going to be a great party, so if you are going to be at Worldcon you should definitely go along: the more the merrier! When & where: Thursday August 29 at 8 pm in the Marriott Rivercenter, suite 3436. (Note: suite details could change, so as always, keep an eye out for programme changes.)
And if you haven’t met my books yet but think you might like to, here’s what a few of my fellow authors and other pundits have had to say:
The Heir of Night (The Wall Of Night Book One)
“A richly told tale of strange magic, dark treachery, and conflicting loyalties, set in a well-realized world” ~ Robin Hobb
“Reinvigorates the epic fantasy with appealing characters and a richly detailed world” ~ Library Journal
“Lowe never misses a beat … The Heir of Night is a grand entrance.” ~ Bookbag (UK)
The Gathering of The Lost (The Wall Of Night Book Two)
“This is an author with a gift for Fantasy” ~ Nebula Award-winner, Catherine Asaro
“Helen Lowe’s writing moves from strength to strength. Powerful story lines, memorable characters and a vividly imagined world.” ~ Juliet Marillier
“…returns the reader to a world of hidden history and shadowed loyalties and keeps you there until well past your bedtime, loving every minute of it.” ~ Fantasy Book Review
And if you can’t quite bring yourself to eat a bug but would still like to “meet the books”, don’t forget that to celebrate being shortlisted for the David Gemmell Legend Award, The Gathering Of The Lost e-book is on special for 99c (US only) until 30 September!
