What’s Happening — Supernatural Underground, “Queens & Courtesans”, & More
Firstly, Saturday was 1 October and that means my monthly post on the Supernatural Underground. This time I posted on a topic I’ve been giving some air time lately, that is, names in Fantasy literature.
Only I gave it a twist and made it about fashion in names, which is a case of fiction following real life – yep, even when it comes to names. 😉

The Big Idea Features the National Writers’ Forum
I’m a little late sharing this link with you, but Dione Joseph reported on the recent National Writers’ Forum in The Big Idea — and I’m very pleased that she felt my masterclass on Building Fantastic Worlds was “utterly worth getting … out of bed [for] on a Sunday morning.” To read her take on the Forum’s highlights, click on:

A Guest Post Coming Up — Kristen Blount, Sirens, and “Queens and Courtesans” — An Anthology
Sirens is a Fantasy convention dedicated to “…the diverse, remarkable women of fantasy literature: readers, authors, scholars, librarians, educators, publishing professionals, and characters.”
You have already met Kristen Blount because she contributed a guest post on “Raven: International Man Of Mystery” just a short while back. So I’m very pleased to tell you that Kristen will be back on Thursday with another guest post, this time on a topic related to Queens and Courtesans, an anthology written and edited by women who have attended Sirens. All proceeds will also go to support the Sirens convention.
So do check back in on Thursday for Kristen’s guest post — I’ll make sure there’s information on how to acquire your very own copy of Queens and Courtesans as well. 😉
