About The Characters: Meet The Minor Players In “The Wall Of Night” Series — Meet Lord Bonamark
The About The Characters post series focuses on the minor characters in The Wall Of Night series, in large part because:
“I think it’s the presence of the smaller characters that “makes” a story, creating texture around the main points of view.”
~ from: Legend Award Finalist’s Interview, 2013
Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from The Heir of Night, but now I’m continuing on with minor characters from both The Gathering Of The Lost and Daughter of Blood — in alphabetical order, by name, of course!
As you will perceive, being readers of both perception and acuity, we are still in “L” – and about to encounter a triumvirate of Lords. 😊

Lord Bonamark: the Marklord of Bonamark in the southern realm of Emer.
The Allerion company, a strong showing of heavy cavalry and longbowmen, was passing now and two knights turned off to speak with Lord Bonamark and his captain. “The truce of Midsummer prevails,” Raven said, “but Lord Allerion will have waited until the Lathyarans came though before dispatching his own people.”
“To make sure it prevails,” Girvase murmured. … Lord Bonamark let the Allerion knights’ dust die down before giving the word to proceed, but there was still too much traffic and Malian had to dampen and retie her face covering every other hour.
