A Canterbury Poets’ “Boosted” Reminder — & Fabulous Poetry Quote
On Monday, I posted on the international-bestselling novel by Pascal Mercier, Night Train To Lisbon.
The book included this quote on poetry, which is in the “voice” of the main point-of-view character, Raimund Gregorius (aka ‘Mundus’):
“Over poetry, you didn’t gush. You read it. You read it with the tongue. You lived it. You felt how it moved you, changed you. How it contributed to shaping your own life, giving it colour and melody.”

ICYMI Last Week: A Canterbury Poets’ “Boosted” Reminder — Closing date 30 September
In order to experience poetry for your- (or one-) self, one must first be exposed to it.
So one of the many reasons I am supporting the CPC ‘Poetry in Performance’ Boosted campaign is because their reading seasons give poets, established and aspiring, the opportunity to both hear great poetry “read with the tongue”, but also to read their own work and experience its “colour and melody” ‘out loud.’
It’s All Or Nothing — Can You Help Make It “All” for Canterbury Poets?
Just 5 days left to go! And the project is now at 90% funded — BUT (big ‘but’!) like all crowdfunded projects, my understanding is that Boosted is an “all or nothing” model.
So even if the Canterbury Poets (CPC) make it to 99.9% of their goal, it’s 100% — or nothing. So if you have not done so already, please consider donating to ensure CPC make it across that vital 100% line. The link is here:

And if you have donated already, thank you so much. Also: awesome — high five! 😀

If would like to help spread the word to others but wish to arm yourself with more information first, I’ve talked about the reasons why I’m supporting, as well as what the CPC are striving to achieve, in more detail here.
Again, we only have until September 30 to make it so. Currently, I have all digits pretzelled for that “ALL” — and CPC being able to plan for another five years of growing and developing groundbreaking Canterbury poetry and poets.

Yours truly, rockin’ that open mic vibe 😉
And because Canterbury Poets unquestionably (to my mind) helped nurture and grow my “voice”, I can assure you that I am not just asking others to give, I have donated myself.
