An examination of the underappreciated characters among Tolkien\u2019s extensive cast &#8211; why they work, why we love them, and how they are handled both in the books and in Peter Jackson\u2019s film adaptations.<br \/>\n<em>Laurie Mann, Helen Lowe, Rose-Marie Lillian, Alison Croggon <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sat 4, 1500: Myth and Folklore of Australia and New Zealand&#8212;<\/strong>with <em>Tehani Wessely<\/em> and <em>Ian Nichols<\/em>. Further details to be advised.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sun 5, 1000: The Eternal Stories: Myths and Legends in YA Spec Fic&#8212;<\/strong>Myths and legends resound through much of our finest speculative fiction. In this panel, writers share their influences, thoughts and experiences.<br \/>\n<em>Jenny Blackford, Catherynne M.
