{"id":134,"date":"2010-06-16T08:42:57","date_gmt":"2010-06-15T20:42:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/?p=134"},"modified":"2010-06-16T18:58:40","modified_gmt":"2010-06-16T06:58:40","slug":"robin-hobb-quote-for-the-heir-of-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/2010\/06\/16\/robin-hobb-quote-for-the-heir-of-night\/","title":{"rendered":"Robin Hobb Quote for &#8220;The Heir of Night&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now, here&#8217;s the thing about living on one side of the world while your books are published on the other: a great deal of the exicting stuff happens &#8220;while you are sleeping.&#8221; The flip side of that coin, is that sometimes you get up in the morning to read some <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">very<\/span> exciting emails.<\/p>\n<p>As a writer, there&#8217;s not much that&#8217;s more exciting than getting the email that says an author whose work you have loved since <em>their<\/em> very first novel hit the shelves, also likes <em>your<\/em> book.<\/p>\n<p>So as you can imagine, there were a few handsprings and cartwheels when I opened my editor, Kate Nintzel&#8217;s, email titled &#8220;<strong>Robin Hobb on <em>The Heir of Night<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; and read the following:<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h3>&#8220;THE  HEIR OF NIGHT by Helen Lowe is a richly told tale  of strange magic, dark treachery and conflicting loyalties, set in a well  realized world.&#8221;<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h3>&#8212; Robin  Hobb<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>A very special moment.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.robinhobb.com\/\"> Robin Hobb<\/a>. I feel very honoured.<\/p>\n<p>And although it&#8217;s only midway, this is already shaping up to be a week of special moments:<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, I wrote about <a href=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/2010\/06\/14\/the-heir-of-night-are%E2%80%99s-are-here\/\"><em>The Heir of Night<\/em> AREs (Advance Reader Editions) arriving <\/a>and how exciting and special that was.<\/p>\n<p>And today, my US publisher, Eos, are featuring an intro from me on their <a href=\"http:\/\/outofthiseos.typepad.com\/\"><em><strong>Out of this Eos<\/strong><\/em><\/a> blog and giving away 5 AREs of <em>Heir<\/em> to readers.
