Yes, tis the season for Award nominations and I was very pleased—ok, ok: thrilled and<\/em> delighted \ud83d\ude09 — last week to see The Gathering of the Lost<\/em><\/strong> on Reddit Fantasy’s<\/a> list of eligible works for the 2013 Hugo Awards<\/a>. So exciting, dear readers, even to make it to an “eligible works” list, given that the Hugos have long been one of my benchmarks for international SFF works of merit.<\/p>\n

And there it is, The Gathering of the Lost<\/em><\/strong> (right there in 0’s and 1’s \ud83d\ude09 ) in Reddit Fantasy’s The Big List–Potential 2013 Hugo Award Works<\/a><\/h3>\n

Of course, it’s an awfully big step from listing as eligible to being nominated, and certainly from being nominated to being an official “nominee” (i.e. one of the—usually 5—finalists) but nonetheless, it’s still very exciting to see The Gathering of the Lost<\/em><\/strong> on Reddit Fantasy’s list.<\/p>\n
