\"\"<\/a>First off, today—and every day, pretty much—I am beavering away on Daughter of Blood<\/em>, The Wall of Night <\/a>Book Three<\/strong>. Over the past month to six weeks I am been revising the manuscript-to-date and making it even leaner and meaner than it was, but also—the good part—considerably more twisty and turn-y. The constituent parts are always there on a first cut, I find, but it’s always about how you put the parts together and for me that always takes quite a bit of reworking. Anyways, another post will follow when I’ve completed this process, just so you’re all as fully in the loop as I am—other than the eternal proviso of course, a la Lao Tzu<\/a>, that ‘the book that can be spoken of is not the book.’<\/p>\n

So what else is coming up this week–the Tuesday Poem’s ekphrastic poetry series<\/a> is done and dusted, so I’ll be focusing on something else for this week–have been thinking about branching into a theme of ‘sparrows’ following on from last week’s final poem. Watch this space tomorrow…<\/p>\n

On Wednesday I’ll wrap up the Here’s SpecFicNZ–Christchurch<\/a> feature series, and on Thursday I’ll introduce Rebecca Fisher<\/strong> and a new series coming up–discussing speculative fiction (or closely related) film and television. I am really looking forward to seeing\u00a0 this kick off, starting with introducing Rebecca, who will be bringing you this fascinating topic.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Also mid-week, I’ll be doing a guest post on the BookSworn<\/a> site so will cross-post to that from here—I hope some of you will pop on over and support me there with a comment or three. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

On Saturday, I’ll be welcoming Ripley Patton<\/a> back to talk about her forthcoming second-in-series, Ghost Hold<\/em>. I’m looking forward to finding out what comes next in Ripley’s exciting YA paranormal-thriller series.<\/p>\n

I reckon I could just about claim, given all of this, that it’s all happening right here—but if not quite ‘all’, there’s plenty going down, at any rate. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
