Between<\/strong><\/p>\n

I
\nClose in and distant, you had me
\nkite on the cord of your touch,
\nwhichever way you moved
\nI was swept, arrested,
\ntwin to your anthem.<\/p>\n

II
\nBetween question
\nand response, between poise
\nand disarray<\/p>\n

in slants of London light
\nin the autumn voice of Joni Mitchell
\nmid-passage, on our walks
\nacross Brooklyn Bridge<\/p>\n

between one country and another
\ntwo zones to every hour
\nbody in to body, that fit,<\/p>\n

between the letting go and hold,
\nyour hand all night upon my hip.<\/p>\n
