Both aspects of bullying define his character at different times, but this passage focuses on\u00a0 the second aspect: <em>&#8220;<span class=\"ssens\">one habitually cruel to others who are weaker<\/span>.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Flor Langrafon<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>Balisan frowned when Sigismund told him about the door opening into the herb garden, and the narrow path <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>between the palace walls. \u201cThis place is a warren,\u201d he said, but seemed unconcerned when Sigismund mentioned the <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>presence of the serving girl.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>It was Flor who raised the subject again. He and Sigismund were sorting through their weapons for the <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>hunt, and Flor had picked up a heavy bladed dagger, turning it this way and that to the light. \u201cAbout that dumb <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>wench,\u201d he said abruptly, \u201cthe one in the garden earlier&#8230;You can\u2019t just have servants coming and going as they <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>please in gardens used by the high nobility. The wench needs a lesson, to remind her to keep to her place.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>\u201cI think,\u201d Sigismund said, keeping his voice level, \u201cthat&#8217;s for me to decide.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>The dark blue eyes widened. \u201cSurely you\u2019re not angry&#8230;the girl\u2019s just a serving trollop.
