A graduate of the University of Canterbury, she has\u00a0 a Masters degree in English Literature &#8212; mainly, she claims, because she was able to get away with writing her thesis on C.S. Lewis and Philip Pullman. Rebecca has been a reviewer for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fantasyliterature.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">FantasyLiterature.com<\/a>, an international\u00a0 website that specializes in fantasy and science-fiction novels, as well as posting reviews to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/pdp\/profile\/A4FX5YCJA630V?ie=UTF8&amp;ref_=sv_ys_4\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon.com<\/a> where she is a Top 1000 reviewer. She has been penning the <a href=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/category\/big-worlds-on-small-screens-with-rebecca-fisher\/\" target=\"_blank\">Big Worlds On Small Screens<\/a> column (on SFF film and television) here for two years now and also reviews (predominantly) SFF television on her <a href=\"http:\/\/ravenya003.blogspot.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\">They\u2019re All Fictional<\/a> blog&#8212;but also includes posts on topics such as <a href=\"http:\/\/ravenya003.blogspot.co.nz\/2015\/02\/meta-margaret-mahy-and-precious-mundane.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Margaret Mahy and the Precious Mundane: The Supernatural Threat.&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Excerpt from Rebecca\u2019s Work:<\/h4>\n<p class=\"moz-forward-container\"><em>&#8220;Reading a book by <strong>Catherynne Valente<\/strong> is like Forrest Gump\u2019s box of chocolates: you never know what you\u2019re going to get.
