Writing, after all, makes for a highly uncertain life, not to mention the very long time frames between milestones, as I mentioned yesterday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Howeverz, I suspect the kernel of the matter is\u00a0 that &#8220;I write because I <em>have<\/em> to!&#8221; The stories keep waking me up at night until I give in and write them!<\/p>\n<p>In terms of what keeps me going, I just can\u2019t imagine stopping. But reading stories I love makes me happy, and so I\u2019d like to think that by writing stories I love and getting them out there for others to read (I know, I know, I&#8217;m hearing you re <strong><em>Daughter Of Blood<\/em><\/strong>&#8211;so &#8220;out there <em>eventually<\/em>&#8220;, OK!), I may be adding just a little to the world\u2019s net happiness.<\/p>\n<p>And how&#8217;s <em>that<\/em> for channeling Pollyanna? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why, indeed?
