With less than three months now until Publication Day for Daughter Of Blood<\/em><\/strong>, I’ve been inspired to spend some time with characters from The Wall Of Night <\/a>series, in the same way I spent time on the worldbuilding in A Geography Of Haarth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I decided to start by focusing on minor players to begin with, because: \u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Today\u2019s character is:
\n.<\/span><\/p>\n

Khorion:<\/strong>\u00a0 Lieutenant of the Gate bastion, in the Keep of Winds.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Khorion, the Lieutenant of the Gate, simply looked bleak. It must be hard, Nhairin supposed, when one expected to bear the brunt of any attack, to be tied to the main gate while a major battle was being fought inside the keep itself.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
