With the Prologue to Daughter of Blood<\/em> unveiled on SF Signal<\/a> last week, publication day feels like it’s getting close<\/em>\u00a0 \u2014 and that has inspired me to spend some time with characters from The Wall Of Night <\/a>series, in the same way I featured worldbuilding in A Geography Of Haarth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been focusing on minor players for now, because: \u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Today, my minor player is Lannorth.<\/p>\n

Lannorth:\u00a0<\/strong> second-in-command of the Earl of Night’s Honor Guard<\/span><\/p>\n

“The merry tune jigged on … as the doors swung open and Lannorth strode in with the two door guards at his heels. The Honor Lieutenant looked around keenly, then flushed as he met Malian’s inquiring gaze and the surprised lift of her brows”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
