There’s a few fun things happening around the place today. Mary Victoria<\/strong><\/a>, author of Tymon’s Flight<\/strong><\/em> and the newly released Samiha’s Song<\/strong><\/em> is hosting a guest author series on her blog around the theme “Writing Strong Women Characters in SFF.”<\/p>\n

The first post, from Australian paranormal urban fantasy author, Nicole Murphy<\/strong><\/a>, is now up and well worth a read, here<\/strong><\/a>, and a second feature from (I believe) another Australian author, Gillian Polack<\/a><\/strong>, will post later today.<\/p>\n

Going a little further a-field (yes, geographically speaking!) my fellow Supernatural Underground<\/a> author Jaime Rush<\/strong> is guest posting on Larissa’s Bookish Life<\/strong><\/a> (a blog hosted by a Brazilian-Israeli living in Rio de Janeiro—how international is that?!) on the topic “Storytellers Born or Made?”<\/strong> If you want to find out Jaime’s answer to that question, you’ll have to read the post, here<\/a>—and to celebrate the release of her latest book, Burning Darkness, <\/strong><\/em>Jaime’s also running a “Kick Butt First Line” competition on her own blog, here<\/a>.
