From January 25, 2013 to November 25, 2014, the posts traversed locations encountered in The Heir Of Night<\/em><\/a> and The Gathering Of The Lost<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now the series returns to gazette the geography of Daughter Of Blood<\/em><\/a> (The Wall Of Night Book Three.)\u00a0 The new series comprises updates of previous entries as well as new listings.<\/p>\n

Cendreward:<\/strong> province of the dukedom of Emer, in the Southern Realms of Haarth<\/span><\/p>\n

“They were circling what appeared to be a ruin now, even though it lay within the city boundaries. The wall that backed onto the neighboring houses was crumbling, and Malian could make out dark foundations beneath fallen beams, and a jagged curtain wall rising into a solitary tower.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThis must be the old Cendreward mansion,\u201d Kalan said. \u201cAudin said it caught fire in his great-grandfather\u2019s time and has never been rebuilt.\u201d He paused. \u201cOne of the stories is that the Cendreward lord of that time set the fire himself, out of madness and grief for his sons who all died in the Ormondian wars.\u201d “<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“A handful of muleteers and caravan guards were sitting outside, tallying up trading runs and talking over events in Emer, particularly how safe it was for caravans heading south. \u201cIt\u2019s safe enough until Caer Argent, by all accounts,\u201d one guard said, \u201cbut there\u2019s been fighting in the Cendreward and down toward Lathayra.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

An older muleteer blew foam off the top of his beer. \u201cSkirmishing is all, from what I heard, not outright battles. The so-called champion turned rebel hasn\u2019t found much support, it seems.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWar can turn on you like a snake at any moment, though.\u201d The guard set his tankard down. \u201cAnd I sign on to deal with footpads and outlaw bands at worst, not Emerian knights. I\u2019ll be seeking caravans going another way.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
