In 2017, I resumed my \u201cAbout the Characters\u201d<\/a> post series that focuses on the minor characters in The Wall Of Night<\/a> series, because :<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d

Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from The Heir of Night<\/em><\/a>, but now I\u2019m continuing on with minor characters from both The Gathering Of The Lost<\/em><\/a> and Daughter of Blood<\/em><\/a> simultaneously \u2014 in alphabetical order, of course!<\/p>\n

Carick recognized Malisande and Alianor, looking down from the loft, while Raher, Audin, and Jarna stood just inside the gate. The two combatants continued to cut and thrust, their faces intense with concentration.
