As I admit in the opening paragraph, the post is very much influenced by my recent post series here,\u00a0Having Fun With Epic Fantasy Tropes<\/a>—some of which, like our ongoing love affair with fantastic creatures and animal companions, are deeply embedded in Fantasy literature generally. (Imho.)<\/p>\n
