On December 27, I featured Janine Sowerby’s We Children<\/em><\/a>, one of my favourite poems centered on the NZ summer. Today I feature another of Janine’s works, the haiku “January.” I have always felt it captures the sense of the ending of the twelve days of Christmas, which also brings the end of celebration and for many a return to work. I can think of nothing better to feature on the Monday immediately following Twelfth Night.<\/p>\n
