The\u00a0About The Characters<\/a>\u00a0post series focuses on the minor characters in\u00a0The Wall Of Night<\/a>\u00a0series, in large part because:<\/p>\n

Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from\u00a0The Heir of Night<\/em><\/a>, but now I\u2019m continuing on with minor characters from both\u00a0The Gathering Of The Lost<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Daughter of Blood<\/em><\/a>\u00a0simultaneously \u2014 in alphabetical order, of course!<\/p>\n

Ileyra:<\/strong>\u00a0 a herald of the Guild house in Ishnapur<\/span><\/p>\n
Jehane Mor … looked around as the hall door opened and two heralds in the flowing grays of the Ishnapuri branch of the Guild walked in. They looked alike enough to be brother and sister, and their accents, when they spoke their good mornings, bore the lilt of the far-off southern empire.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
Jehane Mor and Tarathan rose and bowed as one, speaking their names and Guild house in the formal style, and the Ishnapuri heralds replied in kind. \u201cI am Ileyra,\u201d the young woman said, \u201cand this is Salan, my brother in both blood and the Guild.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
\u201c \u2018It is a very long way from Ij to Ishnapur,\u2019 \u201d Salan quoted gravely, then added, with the ghost of a smile, \u201cbut we came by sea, which made the journey swifter. And safer, since I understand the overland route still runs through very wild country.\u201d <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
