The image below it is of the painting, <strong><em>I meant it to be a poem about sparrows<\/em><\/strong>, by Dunedin artist, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clairebeynon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Claire Beynon<\/a>, which features the first two lines of the poem:<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The Sparrows<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">I meant it to be a poem about sparrows<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">and how the silence that followed<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">the February 22nd earthquake<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">included their absent voices &#8212;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">&amp; not just sparrows but the starlings<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">and blackbirds, the finches and wax-eyes<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">that normally fill the day with their bustle<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">about the business of living &#8230;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">all fallen silent,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">hidden away, or gone further to find food<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">since half the city was covered<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">in a slick of water and mud.
