For me, the quote resonated with others that see reading as an interactive process between writer and reader\u2014like the AS Byatt quote <a href=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/2013\/05\/26\/a-book-quote-for-sunday-from-as-byatt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>, or the very salient observation from Gordon Lish, <a href=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/2020\/10\/19\/i-love-this-quote-by-gordon-lish\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here,<\/a> on what books are really about.<\/p>\n<p>It also resonates with <a href=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/2021\/08\/26\/favourite-quotes-from-group-haarth-mansis-choice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mansi\u2019s observation<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/2021\/08\/19\/favourite-quotes-from-fb-group-haarth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Group Haarth series<\/a>, speaking to the positives of being in the group: <em>\u201c\u2026we get to see various points of view and different sides of the story from the other person\u2019s perspective\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I believe that as authors, we must always understand, and accept, that once a book is published there will be as many interpretations and experiences of the text as there are readers. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Every book tells a different story to the person who reads it &#8230; How they perceive that book will depend on who they are.
