And now we\u2019re in the time of year, from Halloween, through Thanksgiving, Hanukkuh, and Christmas, to New Year that\u2019s all about festival and celebration\u2014of fire and candlelight in the midst of winter\u2019s dark in the northern hemisphere, and of bright days and midsummer stars in the south.
