The About The Characters<\/strong><\/a> post series focuses on the minor characters in The Wall Of Night<\/strong><\/a> series, in large part because:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from The Heir of Night<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, but now I\u2019m continuing on with minor characters from both The Gathering Of The Lost<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and Daughter of Blood<\/strong><\/em><\/a> \u2014 in alphabetical order, by name, of course!<\/p>\n

Luin:\u00a0<\/strong> a page at the ducal court in Caer Argent (the capital of Emer.)<\/span><\/p>\n

“Malian blinked at the brightness, taking in the few, brightly clad courtiers strolling on a lawn outside, and the halberdiers in ducal uniform at the far end of the gallery. … [She] … fished in her wallet for a coin and handed it to the page. \u201cWhat\u2019s your name?\u201d she asked, pausing on the threshold while the halberdiers looked on, expressionless.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
