The About The Characters<\/strong><\/a> post series focuses on the minor characters in The Wall Of Night<\/strong><\/a> series, in large part because:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from The Heir of Night<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, but now I\u2019m continuing on with minor characters from both The Gathering Of The Lost<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and Daughter of Blood<\/strong><\/em><\/a> \u2014 in alphabetical order, by name, of course!<\/p>\n

As you will observe, we are still in the \u201cfoothills of M\u201d, having traversed the \u201cgreat plains of L\u201d for a considerable period \u2013 and these particular foothills still have some way to go yet.:D<\/p>\n

Myr wished she was back in her old rooms and could consult Ise without worrying so much about hidden listeners. In the new suite, every room almost certainly had a listening post for the spymaster\u2019s eyes-and-ears, and Myr could not rule out her own household eavesdropping either\u2014if Ise had been here to consult. But she and Meya, her longtime attendant, had gone to keep an all-night vigil \u2026\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
