Robert Louis Stevenson, the author of such classics as Treasure Island<\/em><\/strong>, Kidnapped<\/em><\/strong>, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde<\/strong>, <\/em>really needs no further introduction, but I do love this quote, which is a “cap” that definitely fits “me.” (AKA “If the cap fits wear it.” \ud83d\ude00 )<\/p>\n

Although one of my enduring favourites of his works, which exemplifies this quote is Travels in the Cevenne with A Donkey<\/em><\/strong> — first published in 1879 but still very readable today. Or so I found!<\/p>\n

I’ve chosen this quote for today because 22 February is the thirteenth anniversary of the most devastating of the major Christchurch earthquakes, and I consider the quote, like Robert Louis Stevenson’s writing, to be life affirming. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
