The particular author is Kate Elliott and the mind-messing occurs in her Crossroads<\/strong> trilogy: Spirit Gate<\/em>, Shadow Gate<\/em>, Traitor’s Gate<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It’s really take two on last month’s theme, When the Hero Is Really A Villain<\/a> — but done so subtly in this case that I, for one, didn’t see it coming until the very end. And totally loved for that reason, of course! \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
