How can it be “About the Characters”<\/a> time already?! But it is and this month’s character is Orth, who plays a relatively small, but important, part in the ongoing story.<\/p>\n

In fact, if you’ve also read the recent Supernatural Underground<\/strong> (“how could it be 1 November already?”) post on villains in The Wall Of Night<\/a> (with two great companion posts from Kim Falconer<\/a> and Amanda Arista<\/a> respectively, focusing on their series), Orth is pretty much one of those villains — despite also being a Derai, who as a people, believe themselves to be the champions of good.<\/p>\n

Just to recap in terms of this “About The Characters”<\/a> series, it focuses on the minor (or more correctly, sometimes \u201cmore minor\u201d) characters in The Wall Of Night<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0series because:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from\u00a0The Heir of Night<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, but now I\u2019m continuing on with minor characters from both\u00a0The Gathering Of The Lost<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Daughter of Blood<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0\u2014 in alphabetical order, by name, of course!<\/p>\n

Currently, we\u2019re traversing the Marvelous Realm of \u201cO\u201d \u2014 which brings me back to Orth. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
