As you know, the \u201cMeet the Minor Players\u201d post features the minor characters in The Wall Of Night<\/strong><\/a> series. One of the reasons for posting this series is because the major characters always get featured and discussed, but: \u2014<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that (also) \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from The Heir of Night<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, but now I\u2019m continuing on with minor characters from both The Gathering Of The Lost<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and Daughter of Blood<\/strong><\/em><\/a> \u2014 in alphabetical order, by name, of course!<\/p>\n

Of course, when it comes to “minor”, that may be true in terms of page time, yet the character may still cut considerable swathe in the story. I believe the Prince of Lightning, also known as Ilkerineth,<\/a> is one of those characters.<\/p>\n

Prince of Lightning:<\/strong> the leader of the Sworn — or Dark<\/em>sworn, depending on your perspective — nation of Lightning.<\/span><\/p>\n
