I was absolutely thrilled over the weekend to see that NZ short film A Son’s Return Home<\/em> made its’ funding target<\/a>!<\/p>\n

So the NZ Film Commission assessor who said “this film must be made”<\/em> can now be happy — because it will be! \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

Boosted, like many crowdfunding programmes, is an all-or-nothing gig, so I will confess to some nailbiting on behalf of my friend—who wrote the filmscript—over the past few weeks. Needless to say, she is very happy, and I am happy on her behalf, because I know that making this film will be the fulfilment of a lifelong dream.<\/p>\n

So if any of you were able to donate or spread the word, thank you so, so<\/em> much! And if you weren’t able to support right now (because sometimes we ‘just can’t’), but are interested nonetheless, rest assured — when A Son’s Return Home<\/em> is made and has a release (probably through the film festival circuit) I’ll be sure to share the news here. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
