Tis “About the Characters” time again — and we’ve leapt from the realm of “P” (names) and into the marvelous land of “R”.<\/p>\n

As you know, this series features the minor-to-supporting characters in The Wall Of Night<\/strong><\/a> series, because although the major point-of-view characters usually get the discussion love: —<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that (also) \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from The Heir of Night<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, but now I\u2019m continuing on with minor characters from both The Gathering Of The Lost<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and Daughter of Blood<\/strong><\/em><\/a> \u2014 in alphabetical order, by name, of course!<\/p>\n

Raher:<\/strong> an Emerian knight, son of the Lord of Westermarch<\/span><\/p>\n

“It’s probably just as well they aren’t demons,” Malisande said, “since I think Raher and Girvase are planning to go over there one day and find out. Challenge them, if need be.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Carick rolled his eyes, because it sounded exactly like what he could remember of Raher and Girvase from his night ride.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Malisande laughed. \u201cThey\u2019re true Emerians, always wanting to challenge someone\u2014”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
