The theme is Heroines and I started with the now-classic Aerin (The Hero and The Crown<\/em> by Robin McKinley<\/a>), the largely unsung (but imminently worthy) Elfrid from Ru Emerson’s<\/a> The Princess of Flames<\/em>, while also checking in on Malian from The Wall Of Night<\/strong><\/a> series.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Kim Falconer<\/a> is on post #2 in her Fiction Predictions<\/a>, aka Writers As Seers series — and not surprisingly, she’s honing in on Jules Verne and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea<\/em>. It’s a classic read and definitely predictive science fiction.<\/p>\n
