“About the Characters” features the minor characters in The Wall Of Night<\/strong><\/a> series, chiefly because it’s usually the major characters that get all the spotlight and discussion, but:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that (also) \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from The Heir of Night<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, but now I\u2019m continuing on with minor characters from both The Gathering Of The Lost<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and Daughter of Blood<\/strong><\/em><\/a> \u2014 in alphabetical order, by name, of course!<\/p>\n

Reith:<\/strong> a Sea House marine, in Envoy Nimor’s escort<\/span><\/p>\n

Murn was sitting on the ground with his head bowed, while Nimor leaned on his staff as though it was all that was holding him upright. Reith stood close beside the envoy, but his attention was on the Blood defenders. He had not stood the escort down, no doubt because he understood, as Kalan did also, that the camp\u2019s reaction to the tempest hung in the balance.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
