The turnaround\u00a0 began on March 18 when\u00a0 I had my <a href=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/2011\/03\/19\/a-much-needed-day-off\/\">&#8220;much-needed day off&#8221;<\/a> and read and enjoyed\u00a0 <em><strong>Dragonfly Falling<\/strong>, <\/em>the second in Adrian Tchaikovsky\u2019s <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Shadows of the Apt<\/span> <\/strong>series.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-4398\" href=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/2011\/03\/26\/what-im-reading-post-earthquake\/riverofgods\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4398\" title=\"RiverofGods\" src=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/RiverofGods-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/RiverofGods-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/RiverofGods-100x150.jpg 100w, https:\/\/helenlowe.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/RiverofGods.jpg 468w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 140px) 100vw, 140px\" \/><\/a>Since then I have picked up Ian McDonald&#8217;s <em><strong>River of Gods<\/strong><\/em> again and am starting to get into it. I suspect I would probably be enjoying this book a lot more if not for the earthquake and its aftermath. It&#8217;s a fascinating premise with a lot going on, usually the kind of book I absolutely love&#8212;but which, of course, demands energy, and energy has been in short supply of late. So I&#8217;m enjoying it so far, but maybe not loving it as much as I would under more normal reading circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>How about you&#8212;what are you reading right now?
