The \u201cAbout the Characters\u201d post series focuses on the less prominent characters\u00a0in The Wall Of Night<\/strong><\/a> series. Chiefly because although the protagonists and major players rightly get the lion’s share of attention, I believe that:<\/p>\n

“…it\u2019s the presence of the smaller characters that (also) \u201cmakes\u201d a story, creating texture around the main points of view.\u201d <\/em>(from<\/em> my Legend Award Finalist\u2019s Interview)<\/span><\/p>\n

I commenced this series with the minor players from The Heir of Night<\/em>, but have continued on with those from The Gathering of the Lost<\/em> and Daughter of Blood<\/em>. I\u2019m sure you know the drill by now, but yes, they appear in alphabetical order by name. \"😀\"<\/p>\n

Rhisart:<\/strong> a Bane Hold warrior, competing for selection in an elite, House-of-Blood honor guard<\/span><\/p>\n

Later in the morning, Rhisart assailed the Storm Spear\u2014who had switched to his roan destrier\u2014with a war-axe. But the warhorse shouldered the Bane Holder\u2019s mount off line, before bringing his rider in close enough to knock the axe clear of Rhisart\u2019s grasp.<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n
