Another happy post office box day today—I opened it up and found:<\/p>\n

According to the back cover it is ” … a story of the living, the dead, and the curse that binds them.”<\/em><\/p>\n

And the action takes place in Claysville, a town that “lures you back.” <\/em><\/p>\n

It all sounds a little spooky and I can’t wait to find out more–and may I also say, I “just love” the cover!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Phoenix Rising: A Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences Novel<\/strong> by Pip Ballantine & Tee Morris.<\/p>\n

The cover has already told me this is steampunk with a capital “S”, but what does the back say:<\/p>\n

“Evil is most assuredly afoot—and Britain’s fate rests in the hands of an alluring renegade … and a librarian.”<\/em><\/p>\n

No question: in both cases I must assuredly read on—and shall do so!<\/p>\n

And who knows, all going well—maybe<\/em> some blog interviews will follow. I do hope so!<\/p>\n

In the meantime, following on from last Wednesday’s post<\/a>, I am charging ahead with the Hugo Awards reading and hope to bring you my initial findings on NK Jemisin\u2019s The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms <\/strong><\/em>and Mira Grant\u2019s Feed<\/strong><\/em>, both contenders for the Hugo Award for Best Novel.
