The Crown of Good Company: BookSworn ‘Legends’
On Monday I posted about The Gathering Of The Lost having been nominated for the David Gemmell Legend Award.
I also mentioned that:
“It is a tremendous thrill to see my novel longlisted with so many international Fantasy authors whose work is celebrated in the genre—what my friend, poet Bernadette Hall, would call “the crown of good company.”
In the spirit of that “good company” I would also like to draw your attention to the new-out BookSworn post featuring the books of all four BookSworn authors who have made the longlist: Elspeth Cooper, Mark Lawrence, myself, Helen Lowe, and Mazarkis Williams.
The post features an excerpt from each of our books, plus a reviewer’s quote and a link to where you can read more — which I hope you will, because although naturally I hope you may choose to “vote for GATHERING” for the award, a big part of the Gemmell Award process is to get readers and lovers of the genre discussing and trying out new books. The BookSworn feature is an opportunity to do just that.
