Around the Traps: From Black Gate to Supernatural Underground
I’ve been keeping a low (Lowe – ha!) profile of late, beavering with the writing of WALL4 (huzza!!) — but even so, there has been a flurry of web-by activity over the past few weeks.
Firstly, The Wall of Night series got a nice shout-out on Black Gate last week, which is currently running a feature on “Best New Series.”
Naturally I’m delighted that WALL is included on their list and for those of you who want to find out why, or simply moar, click on:
Tournaments, Isolated Outposts, and Strange Magic: The Wall Of Night series by Helen Lowe
June was tagged as the #monthofjoy and to get in the spirit I participated in Shaun Duke’s “Five Faves” series. In my case I posted on:
Five Fabulous Worlds of SFF
If you get the chance to check it out, I believe you may enjoy the post — and some of the other “Faves” pieces too, including (without being exclusive):
Diana Wynne Jones’ Novels: A Guest Post by KV Johanson
Space Opera Books by Shaun Duke
(our host himself 🙂 )
Although the month has clicked over into July now, sweeping us all, willy-nilly, into the second half of 2017, I decided to stick with the “Five Favourites” theme for my Supernatural Underground post of 1 July:
Five Favourite Fantasy-Genre Romances
Otherwise, you’ll have to head over to the Supe to find out the five I featured — because as with the worlds, of course I have too many favourites to list in just one post!
