A Writing “Time-In”
I know I’ve kept this very quiet, but for the past few months I’ve been having time out from my normal writing milieu and concentrated “time-in” at a residence in Auckland (different city — the big smoke, in fact! — and island: North as opposed to South), where I’ve had the sole use of an apartment and where all I’ve had to do is get up every day and focus on the book, the book, the book.

City skylines featured, including views to the sky-tower.
Yep, nirvana, really. 🙂

Plus some fab sunsets, looking west
I shall report back on the writing part in a later post, but today is just to let you in on the secret, albeit after the event, and share a few pics of my Auckland adventure.

Vistas of Auckland’s famous volcanic cones…
Why afterward? Well, you see, I wanted to take full advantage of the opportunity and keep all my attention on the book, hence the ninja author approach. (Hmm, ninja author — I like the ring of that!)

…plus harbour views, incorporating more volcanic cones
Anyway, it was a great time-in with the story and the characters. I really enjoyed it.

But mostly, it was all the writing, the writing, the writing. #AsItShouldBe
