Thornspell is my first novel and is published by Knopf (Random House Children's Books, USA). It won the Sir Julius Vogel Award 2009 for Best Novel: Young Adult and was a Storylines Childrens' Literature Trust Notable Book 2009.

Aww man, Gail Carriger is gong to be there? I LOVE Gail Carriger! I wish I could go to Au Contraire AND World Con. Actually, I really wish I didn’t have to fly to get to either of them. Oh well.
So many great writers on one poster [grins]—but I know exactly what you mean, Wen. The airfares to pretty much anywhere from here are just killers–with accommodation costs right up there, too!
