It’s Official: News from the UK
No, nothing at all to do with riots, although it is hard to focus on ‘other stuff’ at present.
But like any good author, I can always focus on ‘me books.’ ๐
I have known for some time that the US launch date for The Gathering of the Lost, The Wall of Night Book Two, was set down for March 2012–but it’s now official, March is the UK/Australia/New Zealand launch date as well!
In addition, the mass market edition of The Heir of Night (The Wall of Night Book One ๐ ) will be released in the UK/AU/NZ a month earlier, in February 2012—and there is talk of a new cover for the mass market edition as well, which is ve-ry exciting news. (Although I still love the red cover a LOT—but new covers are one of the most exciting parts of seeing a book come out and this one will tie in with the launch of Gathering, as well, so I can’t help but look forward to it all!) I am not sure when I will be able to do the big reveal on the mass market cover, but watch this space—because as soon as I can share it with you, I will!

This month’s ” … on Anything, Really” feature is “Fun With Thornspell”—you can find out more here and here.
Awesome – March!
Congrats for another launch Helen. Is mass market paperback a smaller size than the Aus/NZ Heir?
Jan, the current AU/NZ Heir is B-format trade paperback; the bigger, UK one is A-format trade—so yes, the mass market will be smaller. And re the March launch for Gathering, of course it does and will contain that character ‘Jan Butterworth.’ ๐ And I’m thinking of having another name competition for ‘Daughter of the Blood’ (The Wall of Night Book Three) as well …
