Tuesday Poem: “quiet along the river”
quiet along the river —
running water, insects
wind in the poplars

Toward the end of last year I spent upward of 5 weeks in a remote coastal location, working on my current book.
I also wrote a number of haiku during that time, which I am currently featuring as Tuesday Poems. As these are works in progress, your feedback/critique is welcome.

Nice imagery – but my imagination totally spoilt the beautiful atmosphere by breaking the silence with a host of sandflies.
Looking forward to you new book

Nope, no sandflies — or not that day anyway! 😉
And having seen the haiku ‘live’ am now playing wth other options — but trying to achieve the idea of a superficial quiet that is in fact not quiet at all!
That would be “your” new book. I must have lost English somewhere…
I put it down to those fast-moving keyboard fingers. 😉
