About The Characters: Meet The Minor Players In “The Wall Of Night” Series — Meet Nimor
Last month I resumed the the About The Characters series after a short hiatus. The series focuses on the minor characters in The Wall Of Night series, in large part because:
“I think it’s the presence of the smaller characters that “makes” a story, creating texture around the main points of view.”
~ from my Legend Award Finalist’s Interview, 2013
Initially, the series focused exclusively on characters from The Heir of Night, but now I’m continuing on with minor characters from both The Gathering Of The Lost and Daughter of Blood — in alphabetical order, by name, of course!
Currently we’re traversing the terrain of “N”, and today’s character is Nimor, from Daughter of Blood.
Nimor: the Sea House envoy to the warrior Houses of Blood and Night
When the sentry guarding the stream approach turned his way, Kalan recognized Lord Nimor. The envoy was carrying a staff as tall as himself, one shod with steel for the road, and the angle of his head reminded Kalan of Laer, when the weatherworker was listening to wind and wave… He was debating whether to reveal his presence when someone called to Nimor and the envoy moved away.
