The Upside Of The Update
Just in case you missed it, I did a The Wall Of Night #4 update last week, where I mentioned completing Revision task #4 (of 7), which comprised revising a significant chunk of the manuscript, aka “the zigzag.”
Sometimes, on completing a milestone in any project, I find there can be a slight dip in energy and mood afterward, as one reflects on “what next.”
Revising “the zigzag” was a significant piece of work so I was feeling that “dip” after writing the update — but then I recalled that the next section (which also has a nickname, but “redacted” as Murderbot would say in System Collapse :D) not only marked a major turning point in the completion of this story but was a blast to write.

A handwritten blast in this case…
So instead of the “dip” I found myself contemplating the upside of the update, which is not only starting afresh but returning to material that I already know is pivotal to the story.
Onward! (As Kate, the series editor, likes to say. :D)

Open for some serious revising business.
I discovered The Wall of Night this year and read the first 3 books within a month. The books cemented themselves in my top 10 series easily, and I cannot wait to read the final instalment. It felt as though these books were written for me and I will not stop shouting to all my fellow fantasy lovers to read this series!
Thank you so much for letting me know you’ve enjoyed the books! I’m definitely working on that next instalment. 😀
