Inside The Revision: What’s A Happenin’?
Lots of context shifting, that’s what, as I shuttle from one major character arc to the next!

Now much thumbed, annotated & written over — so nowhere near as pristine looking!
Which, as I’m sure you can imagine, is sometimes just a tad discombobulating. 😀
Now — back to that loom!

The revision rolls on!

Hope the revision is revealing things that need to be revised and not things that could be improved but are fine as they are. So I have given up hope of reading vol.IV
over Christmas but discovered the final volume of Phillip Pullman’s “Book of Dust” whilst browsing in our local Whitcoulls. It has taken him about 20 years to get to the final chapter of Lyra and Pantalaimon’s story, so you are doing quite well in comparison! And at about 3″ thick and 11 point type it should keep my 80 year old eyes challenged.
Hi Sue, Many apologies for the delayed reply, but I have been flat-out with the you-know-what.:)
Firstly, re your initial comment, I can assure you that if things are fine as they are, I will not be improving them.:D I suspect this is another way of asking whether I am allowing the perfect to be an enemy of the good, and I can also promise you, hand on heart, that at this juncture I am definitely only allowing the good to be an enemy of the “defnitely-not-fine.”
I am so glad, too, in the absence of the WALL finale, that you have Philip Pullman’s Book of Dust series to keep you company. I hope you have an excellent festive season with Lyra, Pantalaimon, and the rest of the crew. 🙂
