“do you?” — A Tuesday Poem Reprised
do you?
the full moon swims up
into amethyst sky,
a car engine fades
along unsealed road . . .
the wind touches your face
with ghost fingers, whispers
my name into your ear…
do you remember,
do you…forget
even to remember,
do you?

I featured do you? as a Tuesday Poem, way back in 2013 when the Tuesday Poem community was going full throttle. 😀 All of which feels like a Middle Earth age-of-the-world ago now! But something about the unseasonably warm weather and lingering evenings currently (where I am) first evoked the poem, then prompted me to share it again — but as a poem for Thursday, this time around.:)
